John Williams’ erster Japanbesuch seit 30 Jahren anlässlich des “Seiji Ozawa Matsumoto Festivals” im Jahr 2023 ist in dieser Aufnahme in Ton und Bild verewigt. Der weltweit gefeierte Komponist und Produzent, der sich seit den 1970er-Jahren zum Meister der Filmmusik entwickelte, zeigt gemeinsam mit Stéphane Denève und dem Saito Kinen Orchestra Titel aus Harry Potter, E.T., Schindler’s Liste, Star Wars, Indiana Jones und weiteren Klassikern. Das Konzert fand in der Tokyoter “Suntory Hall” statt.

Die limitierte Erstausgabe als Doppel-Hybrid-SACD mit Blu-ray enthält unter anderem Interviews mit Williams und Denève.
